outpatient services
MAC Midwest provides outpatient services for children, adolescents, and adults who benefit from flexible, targeted support. Services are available in clinic settings and through telehealth, allowing individuals and families to access care in ways that fit their schedules and needs.
Outpatient care may serve as a primary service, a complement to center-based programs, or a step-down option as needs change over time.
Mental Health Services
Our outpatient mental health services support emotional well-being, coping skills, and behavioral health for individuals navigating neurodevelopmental differences, life transitions, or co-occurring conditions.
Individual Psychotherapy
One-to-one therapy supports emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, executive functioning challenges, trauma-related concerns, and life stressors. Therapy is individualized and grounded in evidence-informed practices tailored to the person’s developmental stage and goals.
Family Psychotherapy
Family-based therapy strengthens communication, problem-solving, and shared understanding. These sessions support caregivers and family members in navigating behavioral challenges, transitions, and the broader impact of neurodevelopmental differences within the family system.
Behavioral Health Services
Outpatient behavioral services provide structured, goal-directed intervention without the intensity of full-day center-based programming.
Focused ABA
Focused ABA addresses specific skill areas or behaviors when targeted intervention is needed. Services may support communication, social skills, emotional regulation, or behavior reduction. Treatment plans are individualized and adjusted based on progress.
Family Skills
Family Skills training equips caregivers with practical strategies to support behavior, communication, and daily routines at home and in community settings. The goal is to strengthen consistency and build confidence in implementing supports outside of clinical environments.
Speech Therapy
Outpatient speech therapy supports communication across ages and developmental levels. Services may address:
Expressive and receptive language
Social communication
Articulation
Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)
Feeding and oral-motor needs
Speech therapy is coordinated with other services when appropriate to ensure aligned goals and consistent progress.
Occupational Therapy
Outpatient occupational therapy supports functional independence and daily living skills. Services may focus on:
Sensory processing differences
Fine motor skills
Executive functioning
Self-care routines
Play and social participation
OT services are individualized and designed to improve participation in home, school, and community settings.
flexible,coordinated care
Outpatient services at MAC Midwest are designed to be adaptable. Some individuals receive outpatient care exclusively, while others transition between outpatient and center-based services as needs evolve.
