This summer, SHINE for MAC is celebrating something especially meaningful: MAC Midwest’s 30th anniversary.
For three decades, MAC Midwest has had the privilege of supporting individuals with autism and neurodevelopmental differences, partnering with families, and building connections in communities throughout Minnesota. This milestone belongs to everyone who has been part of that journey, including the individuals and families we serve, our staff, community partners, supporters, and friends.
Throughout July and August, MAC Midwest centers across the state will be hosting their own 30-year celebrations. Families and community members can look forward to food, games, creative activities, open houses, fundraisers, and opportunities to connect with the people who make each center special.
SHINE for MAC is about more than recognizing an anniversary. It is an opportunity to strengthen relationships, get to know our staff, celebrate the unique community surrounding each center, and spend time with the individuals and families we are honored to serve.

Our centers are also finding additional ways to celebrate throughout SHINE for MAC, including penny wars, staff and family lunches, spirit weeks, bake sales, community fundraisers, and other special activities.
Some celebrations and activities may be intended specifically for current MAC Midwest families and staff, while others will welcome the broader community. Please reach out to your clinical team or center leadership for specific information about your center’s celebration, including location details, planned activities, and who is invited to attend.
