How Are Donations Used?

Donations are a great way to support the life-changing work going on at MAC. All donations received are used in tangible, therapeutic ways. Whether it is to support in home programming, center supplies and reinforcers or school equipment, MAC strives to assure that all donations go to enhancing the quality of MAC programs which are making positive differences in the lives of our families.

Additionally, sometimes the families we serve suffer gaps in insurance coverage that affect their ability to cover the costs of their child’s program. Other times, parents face wait times before their insurance coverage will begin covering their child’s cost. With autism, time is of the essence and MAC is committed to beginning and maintaining continuity of services whenever possible for the best interests of the children we serve. As a non-profit organization, our focus is on serving the needs of the children and their family unit. When gaps in coverage exist, MAC will assess each child’s ability to receive future funding and often bridge the gap with donations provided by generous individuals, foundations, or MAC’s own internal funds. Your donation to MAC will enable us to say “yes” to more children being transformed by our services who need a helping hand from others who have a heart for their future success.

MAC is recognized as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization by the IRS. Donations to MAC from individuals are typically tax-deductible according to IRS guidelines. Please consult with your personal tax professional as you consider a generous gift to benefit the children and families we serve.
